Conservation Celebration Walk @ Newlin Grist Mill

Join Newlin Grist Mill’s staff naturalist for an exciting hike through the park’s 160 acres of forests, fields, and more! We will discuss the park’s roots in environmental preservation, visit standing reminders of conservation movements of the past, and discover the exciting ways that we are moving forward with biological and landscape conservation today.

Best suited to ages 10 and up. Attendees should dress for the weather and wear close-toed shoes appropriate for hiking. Expect some hills. Meet at the Visitor Center. Free.

This program is being offering as part of Smithsonian Magazine’s 2020 Museum Day–for more information, visit https://www.smithsonianmag.com/museumday/venues/museum/newlin-grist-mill/
