Tasting Through Time

Saturday, May 11th
First seating: 4:30-6:30pm
Second seating: 7:30-9:30pm

Explore history through your taste-buds! Participants will enjoy a five-course dinner with accompanying drinks while learning about the culinary traditions of the past. This year, we’ll be serving up a “Milling Meal” and featuring ingredients that are traditionally processed by a mill. And no, it’s not all flour!

This is a fundraising event to support ongoing restoration projects at Newlin Grist Mill.
Cost: $75/person. You must be 21 years or older to attend.

Tavern Night

Saturday, November 2nd
First seating: 4:30-6:30pm
Second seating: 7:30-9:30pm

Tavern Night is a one-of-a-kind evening of 18th-century food, drink, and music. Participants will enjoy the warmth of the fire as they delight in a selection of flavors and aromas representative of those found in a colonial tavern. All tavern goers will be served sample-sized courses of various foods and drink that are based on period receipts (recipes). A variety of punches, flip, and other beverages will be served along with fresh (non-alcoholic) cider.

Proceeds from this fundraiser provide valuable internship opportunities for students wishing to pursue a career in history, museums, archaeology, and related disciplines.

Cost: $75/person. You must be 21 years or older to attend. A printable registration form is available here. Call 610-459-2359 for reservations or more information.
