Dabbs Woodfin Intern
Newlin Grist Mill Intern
Kimberly organized, re-housed, and catalogued the archival collection of the Society for the Preservation of Old Mills (SPOOM). The SPOOM collection consists of the organization’s institutional records as well as an extensive compilation of information related to mills state by state. Valuable publications, books, photographs, slides, and postcards are also a part of the SPOOM collection.
In addition to her work with the SPOOM archives, Kimberly also worked with the Newlin Grist Mill collection. The project involved re-housing and cataloguing numerous records such as old land deeds and account books related to the mill and the surrounding communities. She created an organization system for institutional records, worked to make sure that the records and manuscripts were housed properly, and entered records into the PastPerfect database. Kimberly also catalogued all of rare books and reference books in the library. Kimberly graduated in 2010 from the University of Delaware with a B.A. degree in Art Conservation.
