Kitchen Encounters

Join us as we demonstrate and explore historic cooking and foodways! We’ll be using the recently restored 1739 Trimble House Kitchen, as well as the reconstructed Bake Oven behind the Miller’s House, to experiment with a variety of ingredients, techniques, and “receipts” (recipes). Each program will have a different theme – beer brewing, dairy, pie baking, and 18th-century sauces are just a few!
