Hours of Operation
- The Preserve at Newlin Grist Mill is open seven days a week.
- The grounds, including trails, are free and open to the public daily from dawn to dusk.
- Public Restrooms are now open at the Visitor Center, but the building itself remains closed while we finish construction.

The Welcome Center is Closed Mondays, open Tuesday-Sunday 9am-4pm.
- Closed for lunch from 12-12:30pm
- The Gift Shop is open during regular Welcome Center hours.
- Please note that while the visitor center building is under construction, the Welcome Center & Gift Shop are temporarily located in the Archive building (in the Historic Area on the east side of Cheyney Road, next to the Mill).
- Guided tours of the Grist Mill:

Wednesday-Friday 1pm
- Saturday-Sunday 11am, 1pm, 2pm
- While the Mill is not currently operational, visitors on guided tours will get a rare opportunity to see the process of building a new waterwheel and waterbox.
- Visitors must be on a guided tour to go inside the Grist Mill.
- Guided tours are $10 per person, $6 for seniors and children 12 and under (children under 3 years of ages admitted free).

The site is in Western Delaware County, Pennsylvania off of U.S. Rt. 1, Baltimore Pike. We are conveniently located about 22 miles from Philadelphia, 9 miles from West Chester, and 6 miles from Delaware.
Parking
Free parking is available by the Visitor Center.
Directions
From I-95: Take exit 3A (Rt. 322 W) towards West Chester. Turn right onto Route 1 N/Baltimore Pike. In 1.3 miles, turn right onto Cheyney Road. The entrance to the Visitor Center is on the right.
From I-476 (The Blue Route): Take exit 5 towards Route 1 S/Baltimore Pike. In 8.9 miles, turn left onto Cheyney Road. The entrance to the Visitor Center is on the right.
From Rt. 202: Turn onto Route 1 N/Baltimore Pike. In 2.2 miles, turn right onto Cheyney Road. The entrance to the Visitor Center is on the right.
